My BIL is being held in a hospital in NY right now. One doc is pretty convinced he has it, another isn't.

They're keeping him there, but he can't get a test.

How serious are his current symptoms? Must be enough to make him seek medical help. Best wishes to him, and let's hope he's not positive.

His symptoms aren't too bad; kinda feverish, that's about it. My biggest worry is his wife, who has health issues, and his 1-year-old at home. I just don't know if they understand the severity of this, and what can happen if they get infected. They're kind of acting like business as usual, which is troubling.

Anyway, no updates yet; we'll see what happens.

    Please love yourself.

                            You'll see this:

                            Paste url of picture:

So it looks like this (note I put a bracket at the end so as not to post an actual pic)

                              Illinois is not very different.

                              Illinois has 48,102 cases.

                              Chicago alone has 33,449.

I'm sure the same case can be made for upstate and western New York.

The virus tends to spread in humans so the case count is higher where more humans live.

Yeah, but that’s nowhere near proportional in Pennsylvania.

You would expect convexity. The reproductive rate would have a non-linear relationship with density.

that's what the per-capita brigade would have us believe.

                                        Education is extremely important.
