Exposure to testosterone during muscular and nervous system development.
They partition boxers by weight due to intrinsic performance advantages of different weight classes.
Development of musculature in the presence/absence of testosterone creates an expected performance difference across many sporting activities so it is plausible to similarly split competitors by this criteria. Current male/female division is a proxy for this.
I've seen gals compete in weight lifting who were on the juice. They do very well against females who aren't taking anything.
But they could not compete against males of the same weight.

Some people might think that size, speed and strength matter in some sports.
But the democrats just expunge those differences, is that it?
Now, I'm thinking about competing in ladies professional golf. But I'm not sure if I like the dress code.
