Well, yes, you have. But pushing that aside, I think everyone knows that and has for a long time. Years even. So what? Do you think they didn't interfere as much as they could in every election since WWII? The outrage over this is simply deliberate naivete.
Only other claims I've made are about Trump's reaction.
Which bucks that conventional and obvious wisdom - (on Putin):
“Every time he sees me he says, 'I didn't do that,' and I really believe that when he tells me that, he means it.”
And I don't think Russian meddling is benign and it is different with social media. They run troll farms to stoke political divisions and create sharable content on facebook, reddit and the like.
What were they going to do in the 50's against us? Run TV ads? And we were in a literal nuclear standoff with them, along with proxy wars. So I don’t think our leaders were saying nice things about them at the time.
I’m not saying you go to war with Russia or even sanction them like Obama did.
A good start would be acknowledging it and not undermining your own intelligence over it.

We must have patience. This will all be sorted out over time. Note today's revelation that Russia wanted Trump to win. It was a basic common knowledge that anyone with a 6th grade education could see. "Oh no" the Republicans said. But now we know for fact. One fact at a time. It will all come out in the end. And over time, even the ostriches will realize they've been hoodwinked by a crook. A con man who can't even put a sentence together in a press conference. (it's no wonder why he doesn't do these things, he comes off as an utter fool). He projects his weaknesses to others. He deflects and throws a shiny penny when he's cornered. The ostriches all ogle over the penny and forget the sad sack liar for a moment. What was it today? Immigration. It will be something else tomorrow. All to deflect his incompetence over this crisis. History will be a harsh mistress to this administration and to all the fools who fell for it. And another thing, after all these years, I am certain now, Jolly and Larry are one person. A bullying troll of a human. No wonder he likes Trump. He is their mirror reflection.

McCarthy gets it.

Quote from his article:
Did the intelligence community competently conclude that Russia interfered in the 2016 campaign?
No one is asking that question because, for the vast majority of people closely following the collusion caper, that would be like asking whether the Chiefs won the Super Bowl..
There’s one notable person who doesn’t agree with that conclusion. And that was my singular point with this thread.
Yes - there’s much chatter about connecting this back with collision. I wasn’t talking about that.
My point was more amazement on how much of a curve this President gets graded on.

No it wasn't. Your point was purely about the fact that Russia meddled. Quote "They sought to denigrate Hillary and boost Trump". First off, that's not even accurate. The Russians fed propaganda to Hillary and the DNC meant to HARM Trump and boost Hillary. The did it through Christopher Steele. Maybe you've heard a little about that...
The fact is, you started this thread because you saw it as another opportunity to smear Trump, and you very first sentence was a total perversion of the facts. Now you claim your point was that you were amazed at "How much of a curve this president gets graded on" - one of the most ridiculous statements you could make given the irony of it.

From the Senate's report:
From "Volume 2" page 32:
(U) At the direction ofthe Kremlin, the IRA sought to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election by.harming Hillary Clinton's chances of success and supporting Donald Trump.
You seem to have an issue with their report, not me.
The Senate report also makes zero mention of Steele. The conclusions stand independent of that.
-
The fact that it makes no mention of Steele doesn't mean it didn't happen, which further proves McCarthy's point that it's a useless report made by a useless committee, and further proves my point about your true motive in starting the thread in the first place.
