    I’m glad nobody gave Rachel the idea of setting the table yesterday. She totally would have done that even though bits just three of us.

    I’m trying a boneless breast in the slow cooker this year. Making a favorite wild-rice “stuffing” of my own concoction to go along. Rachel is making potatoes gratin and last night she made this beautiful apple pie:

    They’ll end up, after a lot of drama, with the same formula they use every time they have a trifecta: take away health care and food assistance from low income families and use the money to fund tax cuts for their donors.

      There was extra stuff so she made a little sample size one, too:

          Well, if she needs a career change, maybe the bakery biz?

          Sure looks like it would sell...

            We’re going over to a friend of Karla’s that has been a part of our “circle”. Unfortunately, they don’t drink and have food allergies in the family so today is going to suck.

            At least I get to come home and watch Steelers vs Ravens. That’s the only saving grace for this day.

              We're doing TG tomorrow. D4 is coming over with SIL. She's been visiting us a couple of times a week and she has no one outside of SIL that she makes contact with. SIL is working from home, and presumably in our "bubble."

              I have a bone-in turkey breast that I was going to make in a Dutch oven, but your thought on the slow cooker is intriguing. Got a recipe?

                  @George-K it’s in a book so I’ll take a picture of it.

                  It’s from ‘America’s Test Kitchen’ slow cooker cook book. Everything I’ve made from it is a winner.

                  And their recipe is actually for bone-in.

                  I want to send a high resolution picture so I’ll do it by mail. That way you can zoom in to read the text.

                    And I’ll let you know how it turns out. I’m following it verbatim, except less time since mine is boneless. L
