Open the borders, let the black market handle it.

Most people will be getting a saline solution anyway, we're all just research rats for the WHO.

The Walgreens we got tested at this morning was not at an active Walgreens. We could see the pharmacy section and everything in the store had been taken out and was under construction. My guess is they are setting it up as a vaccine center of some sort.

              Interesting.

Probably some more of Trump's screw-ups...

Bernie Sanders Confused After U.S. Beats Cuba To Producing COVID Vaccine

BURLINGTON, VT—Bernie Sanders expressed bewilderment this week after the announcement that two separate U.S. drug companies have successfully produced a vaccine for COVID while socialist countries like Cuba and Venezuela have not yet announced such a breakthrough.

"I happen to believe," said Bernie to supporters. "That Cuba and Venezuela invest more in their healthcare than we do. They are more compassionate. They are more advanced. There's no way they haven't produced a vaccine already. They are probably just keeping it secret so American capitalist billionaires don't steal it!"

Cuba has assured the world that they produced a "better, cheaper" vaccine than the American drug companies but they misplaced it and they're sure it will turn up soon.

Venezuela also claims to have a 100% effective treatment for COVID but that it was stolen by a pack of feral cats. They have assured the world they will find it shortly.

North Korea claims they have had a vaccine for years but they don't even need it because people never get sick there.

Sanders is calling for complete government control of healthcare in hopes that America will catch up to these other, more developed countries.

Why are kids being vaccinated before older adults (not over 65)? The stats seem to say that kids are at very low risk and may not even spread the virus as much as adults. My best friend, 57, as COVID and barely escaped being put on a ventilator. He is having a difficult struggle and will be in the hospital for 2-4 weeks.

Sorry to hear that @Kincaid. We will keep him in our thoughts.

I’m not saying I agree with it, but the medical reasoning would be to slow spread. The fear is that a lot of the spread in adults comes from children at school. The more factual reason would be because parents need kids back in school.

Was reading about George's daughter's struggle - sounds a lot like my friend. He is several days away from Day 20 but was released to go home. His sense of taste has come back but he is still very tired with just a little activity. He did lose over 30 pounds.

Took my SIL months to recover.

And she retains some permanent lung problems. She and her husband spent a long weekend in the Smokies back in October. Even that change in altitude cut her stamina way back.

I'm thinking the information on side effects of the vaccines will lead many to delay or not take the vaccine. The anti-vax folks will do their bit. From all appearances, this is an area where the administration has done an exemplary job of coordinating a ramp up and distribution system - but I wonder if more than 30% of the population gets vaccinated - not because of logistical issues - but rather the predilections of the US population.

That’s fine. I think you get a vaccine card and that lets your kids go to school, you go to malls, restaurants, places of worship, work, retail, airplanes and hotels. The anti-vaxxers can stay home and that is fine with me.

I will object loudly to anti Vaxxer being anywhere near my presence an app on a phone would be great.

And then the vaccine-making business will mutate.

New ones will be developed daily.
