I wonder---do you only get counted in the numbers if your application is processed in some way? I'd expect the actual numbers to be even higher.

If 80% of the population got sick between now and when we can mass-distribute a vaccine, we'd be talking about 4 to 12 million deaths. What's interesting to me is that the other side is so comfortable with that. I wonder what the numbers would have to be for them to lean the other way.

Doesn't change the fact that this is a very real tragedy to an awful lot of people. It's a shit sandwich no matter what bread is on it.

Absolutely. At least we're not going it alone. Every other country in the world faces the same problem. But we have a lot of resources others don't. At least there's that.
