    Somebody fell on the mic stand

    Only non-witches get due process.

      @jon-nyc It's marked "sff sec" which is sforzando, dry sound. I guess he wanted a true "thud"

          that level of playing is such an athletic skill along with everything else.

          Education is extremely important.

              Wow! The best performance of "Fireworks" I've ever heard. The palette of sounds he gets from the piano is awesome.

                Most exciting finale!
                Neat trick with the full range black key + white key double glissandi with full pedal. I’m going steal that some day.

                  Finger on string while the hammer strikes is my guess.

                    Missed it.

                    But on the other hand, I could watch the recording.

                    Why does this feel "lesser" than watching it live?

                      @Tav-D

                      Thanks for the link—I’ve only had time to watch a few excerpts...Do they tend to keep these up indefinitely?

                        @Rich you can watch his program again if you click on the link above. I watched it again from the beginning. I still marvel at Hamelin's musicianship and astounding technique.
