            @jon-nyc It's marked "sff sec" which is sforzando, dry sound. I guess he wanted a true "thud"

                that level of playing is such an athletic skill along with everything else.

                    Wow! The best performance of "Fireworks" I've ever heard. The palette of sounds he gets from the piano is awesome.

                              @Rich you can watch his program again if you click on the link above. I watched it again from the beginning. I still marvel at Hamelin's musicianship and astounding technique.
