Yes, Mr. Trump has been saying it is up to him

    He has his emergency

    The states have their emergencies

They each want their own toy

I'm just happy they are talking about it, that will lead to action eventually

Jon, the plan? My gut is it’ll be a “we are going to follow the advice of experts and wait” delay tactic until a few states naturally ease restrictions and once that becomes palatable, Trump will endorse it and claim credit.

With all due respect to President Trump, I think I'll wait and see what the MA Governor and my company management have to say.

Mr. Trump is wrong. He can advise, he cannot compel.

Of course, he owns some mighty big sticks and carrots.

That might have been his most boneheaded tweet yet. specially after putting a lot of responsibility on governors to get their own PPE. Very, very bad move and it will come back on him n November.

He really is his own worst enemy. His opponents would be better off gently tweaking him like this, and letting him go off on a tear and making himself look insecure, than attacking full frontal, which is what he enjoys.

It's a bit like those family meals where you see if you can get certain relatives to go off an a rant by just dropping a couple of words into the conversation about national service, or The Empire or something.

Indeed. It takes a lot of effort to distinguish what he does from what he says. If he could just STFU....

                    Isn't this typical Trump?

IT'S MY DECISION. Then the media goes crazy.

Then after awhile, he talks about how he is working with and listening to governors, agrees with them, they cringe and then compliment him, the media gets played while trying to understand federalism and the commerce clause, while trying to trap him.

Strong, decisive, yet open to collaboration along the way. See you in November.

I think his view is that he has absolute power and absolutely no responsibility.

There you go again, Jon. Stating what he must be thinking as if fact.

Better IMO to state it as:
Trump was recorded in a conversation with Melania, where he stated, "I HAVE ABSOLUTE POWER AND ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSIBILITY. NOW MAKE ME A SAMMICH."

Okay so obviously you haven't looked into this at all. You should before you comment on it. This is already happening. It's going to be rolled out in May.

The first phase is going to require users to voluntarily download apps that have this API--only cleared government service apps will have it, and no one is under any obligation to use it. Second, not only is the reporting anonymous, but the updates rely on bluetooth pushes to eliminate location data. In other words, you can't get personal information from the API even if you wanted to. Third, once they get phase 2 going, which will integrate directly with device operating systems, it'll still be a voluntary opt-in.

                                          Please love yourself.
