I prefer the oldest sentence to, "well, they didn't anticipate THIS so it must not mean what it says.".

There's a way to change it but they're all too lazy and prefer to rely on dubious executive orders.

Would have been nice to get a 9-0 ruling, somewhat disappointed that it's a 6-3 (and some parts a 5-4) ruling, a step backward from the 6-2 Wong Kim Ark ruling.

In a sense it’s 7-2. Gorsuch dissents but specifically says visitors babies shouldn’t get citizenship though illegal aliens babies should Not sure where he finds the constitutional basis for that distinction.

I suppose it would be that visitors are temporary and many (most?) illegals intend to stay, but he'd have to explain. I can see the logic but not the basis.

Thomas made the oddest comment - said the ruling ‘cheapens US citizenship’ (or ‘devalues’, can’t remember which)

Strange thing to say for a practice going on to one degree or another for centuries.

You can make a distinction as policy but I don’t know how you find one in the 14th amendment but not the other. I suppose I could read the dissent….

Or wait to have sarah isgur and David French talk about it tomorrow.

Maybe they're not all too lazy. I could see this one getting through.

First a call for a military coup, and now calling for the killing of Supreme Court Justices.

                      Nice.

                      I love you long time.
