So, the group of wise elders (88 of them) met a short while ago in Qom, to pick a new supreme leader. Sort of like a conclave.
ooops, they’ve been bombed.
Waiting bomb damage assessment (BDA)
or white smoke. Or black smoke.

I never hear this framed as American imperialism in the Middle East, with Israel as the America proxy, but that’s how I see it. Neither side for or against ever frames it that way. The against people are happier to claim that America is under an Israeli spell, while the for people understandably couch it in nobility and self defense.

Lenin, Trotsky and Stalin would all agree with that statement. As would every Marxist who ever walked on the planet.

True. Probably because throughout the last century or longer, the US has spent tremendous effort and capital trying convince the world it is not an imperialist state. It has certainly worked on convincing US domestic audiences but not so much elsewhere.

Thought this video, a year old, was informative. You hear about these types of Iranian missiles and the interceptors... I was looking for a better explanation, this one was helpful.

When Trump and Pentagon officials say we have plenty of weapons... that's when I'm concerned that we don't. The lady doth protest too much............

I bet the Iranian government IT dude who has been begging his boss to install Zoom cameras is really upset right now.

Nahhh, he’s probably Mossad.
Still, one thing I have to respect, here… The Iranian government isn’t working from home..

Side note I thought about this morning, when these things are blown out of the sky, is random metal and debris just raining down on random farmers and taxi drivers?

What's weird is if you look at the satellite map, and even street view near the main road, there are weirdly few security checkpoints until you get right outside the perimeter of the radar site, which is not very big. Like you drive awfully close to it as a Qatari taxi driver. Guess if the sight is radar, there isn't much value other than trying to blow it up.
Speaking of which, I'd imagine we'll have anti-drone technology deployed one day near our assets... embassies, radar sites, air fields, etc. Like a truck with a dozen lightweight SAMs that can lock onto incoming small aircraft and blow it out. Right now I think they have to use one of those C-RAM thousand-per-second guns (again, where do all of the bullets ultimately land...?)
