I heard there’s a big game going on today

I stopped to pick up some peppers and tomatoes around 5:30. It wasn’t bad at all.

Apparently they did not broadcast the most exciting part of the game.

God I miss Whitney.
The usual understated brouhaha does little for me, but by God you have a truly great national anthem.

I wonder what the arrest charge was and how much he was paid by the company. Obviously, he thought it was worth it, but since it wasn't on TV, I wonder if the company will pay him less.

If they do, they stole the melody from the British. From Google:
It took 117 years for "The Star-Spangled Banner" to become the ...
The melody for "The Star-Spangled Banner" originated from "To Anacreon in Heaven" (also known as "The Anacreontic Song"), composed around 1775 by British composer John Stafford Smith. It served as the official constitutional anthem for the Anacreontic Society, a London-based gentlemen's music club.
WikipediaKey details regarding the melody's origins:
Original Purpose: The song was created for amateur musicians to perform at social meetings, celebrating music, wine, and the Greek poet Anacreon. In other words it was originally an English gentlemen’s drinking song.
I’ll take La Marseillaise any day over any other anthem. A true rabble rowser to the barricades if there ever was one.

Casablanca (film with Bogart) has a version that shows the effect of the French anthem.
Why does the superbowl flyover vary?
1991 with Whitney I think was missing man. This year 7 planes and then another 1?

I think they changed it at the last minute this year as some of the F22's were needed elsewhere.
Where was used to live we were right underneath the flightpath for when they prepared the flyover for certain games at Gillette. The planes used to vary - my favourite was 3 tankbusters flying quite low right over our house, and one year we had a B2 bomber. The dog was not as big a fan.
