I appreciated today's VDH show. He spends the first 15 minutes going over Israel's value to the US, beyond "just another foreign country". The idea that it's "just another foreign country" underpins all of Tucker's or Dave Smith's rhetoric against US support of it. If I had ever bought into that notion, I would have agreed with them, but I never did. VDH provides some details of why it's not reasonable to think of Israel as just another foreign country.

I get the odd feeling that he's missed the whole spirit of Christmas thing, despite his jolly decorations.

It's not as if he'll be voting for the other side anyway. He's not really a political pundit, just a cultural commentator. Those of us who aren't white nationalists can feel united in that he hates us all.

It's worth making some attempt to understand why his message resonates with certain people, young white males as I gather. I mean, some attempt that gets past "because they're all racist". We have a recent thread about a piece about what it is to be a white male trying to work in the entertainment industry that might touch on some of it.

I agree a white racial backlash was inevitable to one degree or another once the dominant cultural institutions normalized the expression of racial animus against whites sometime during Obama’s second term. But it’s still worth doing what we can to minimize their impact on the culture.
