I've been watching ADSB (FlightRadar247) activity east of Aruba for a while, watching these growlers go up (and now RHINO21).... lots of activity.

Venezuela stole “our” oil and land.

This is the guy who always says we should have taken Iraq’s oil, after all.

The whole reason we call them illegal aliens is because they’re subject to our laws.

Trump gets Venezuela and Putin will get Ukraine. Sounds about right.

Tomorrow night he’s doing a prime time address. I was hoping he’d use it to tell us that affordability is a hoax. Now it sounds like he’ll be talking about Venezuelan ‘WMD’ and ‘our’ oil.

I never attribute to malice what might be explained by my own stupidity. I did misplace several million barrels of oil recently. Now I'm wondering.

This past weekend Trump lifted sanctions on potash exports from Belarus. Last week Trump announced a 10% tariff on potash imports from Canada. The US imports 70% of its potash from Saskatchewan. It will now be able to import potash heavily discounted from Belarus.

Today Trump has claimed ownership of Venezuelan heavy oil production. Why would he continue to import tariffed heavy oil from Alberta?

Trump has already systemically dismantled the Canadian steel and aluminum industry and the auto industry in Ontario and Quebec. He is now going after the industrial bases in Saskatchewan and as of today, Alberta.

I attribute it to covetous malice.

It occurred to me that it would be hard to get the bulk of the Venezuelan people to rally around Maduro, but this ‘our oil’ and ‘our land’ talk might just do it.

Agreed. I suppose he will say that our companies built the oil infrastructure and then were nationalized, but that's a far cry from "our oil".

                        Just checked again. My bad.

Sorry for any reputational damage my suspicions may have caused Venezuela.

Come think of it, probably not as it would require focus and strategic thinking.

He got a taste of being Supreme Commander with Iran in the summer, and now fancies the feeling of power it brings. Besides, I am sure his good friend and neighbour in the Kremlin gave him a wink and nod to proceed as desired.

Your propensity to define people based on who they vote for or claim to accept, is gross. But certainly not unique on this board. It's part of the problem, just so you know.
