The Epstein File

Re ‘there never was a list’ likely true, though there were many reports, including from the DoJ, that his properties had hidden cameras everywhere and there was a cache of CDs with videos on them with labels that would say [girls name] with [Epstein guest name]. The mere collection of such titles is essentially a list.

Phony stuff. Hmm. Could be. It rather depends on who amassed the information. A lack of credibility would have been a better explanation than there wasn't one. There may not be a "list' per se, but there IS a quantity of information. I think we can all agree that the FBI/DOJ etc. has been known to be unreliable gatherers and leakers of information.

At this point who can trust whatever the DOJ or administration releases anyway? Honest question. I'm sure there is a list of people who traveled with Epstein and I'm sure Trump is on the list. Maybe that was already released, what does it even mean? Heck, there could be a video of Trump slamming a 17 year old on a yacht, and most MAGA folks will say it's AI or doesn't matter because it was 30 years ago.

He seems pretty confident that there’s “phony” stuff in those files.
Another interesting thing about this is that this edit by FoxNews during the campaign, is a much bigger favor to Trump then the 60 minutes edit was to Harris. You know, the one Trump used to extort 15MM from Paramount.

And we’re supposed to believe that Obama, Comey, and Biden made them all up and then didn’t even release them.
All while it was Trump’s Labor Secretary that gave Epstein the sweetheart deal in FL when he was US Attorney there, and Trump’s own DoJ who re arrested him and held him while he killed himself during that minute of tape outage.

"killed himself during the minute of tape outage" is a rhetorical flourish straight out of nutty conspiracy theory land. Well, most of that post is, but that part especially. Granted, Trump's hand wave about what Obama and Comey did was reflexive conspiracy theory stuff too. But the clincher has always been that Biden didn't release anything about Trump. And I don't give any reasonable credence to the notion that there are yet more powerful forces at play which forbid the release, and I don't buy any mutually assured destruction theory, preventing any release of any bit of the files. Occam is still firmly in the camp that there are no juicy, incriminating files, and that the existence of these files is a tribal conspiracy hallucination used mostly by Maga to get Trump elected.
