I assume the brand is mostly uncool among people who would buy an EV and that those who think the brand is cool mostly wouldn’t buy an EV.

Having said that, I wouldn’t buy one. Would you?

But self driving delivery is cool.

I have been driving recently a Polestar 2. Just introduced into SE Asia (first in Singapore, then Thailand).

Very nice car. Original, the company started as part of Volvo. They are either part or full independent now.

One thing that surprised at how fast they are!!!! Holy cow!!! Step fully on the "gas" and you get pushed back in your seat! 555

Our house is just out of range for delivery from our favorite local pizza place...and I refuse to pay the premium for DoorDash. I can't wait to buy a self driving car, so I deliver pizza to myself. Maybe I'll even get sign up as a dasher, so I can get paid to have pizza delivered to me. 🤔

You should make a deal with the owner to pay a slightly larger amount. If you’re just out of range.

I tried....We live a couple doors over on the opposite side of a one lane tunnel. Most of the time, it just a car or two, but occasionally gets backed up so it's a couple minute wait each way. Plus, I'm a fucking cheapskate fiscally responsible enough to just drive over myself.

Yeah, TG, EVs are pretty fun to drive. The acceleration is bracing and is in their favor. One thing I can’t abide is a car that cant accelerate reasonably well, which is a lot of four cylinder cars.

@LuFins-Dad Yes. I will have all pizzas now delivered to my shop up the street, and tip myself 1000% every time, making all future income tax free. This feels like a rock solid plan.

@mark Two of my (adult) kids have bought cars this way from them this year. So far, both very positive experiences.
