The best case I’ve heard against regime change. The title is more polemic than the piece.

Yeah but we’ve seen in the region with the green revolutions that there’s a high risk of Islamist takeover arising from chaos.

Which is exactly what happened in Iran in 1979. The revolution began as an urban middle class revolt against autocracy
and was quickly usurped by fanatic anti Western clerics who support base resided in primarily rural areas and urban poor communities. -
In my old age I've grown tired of that writing style with the affectation of too cool for school, and all the swear words and eyerolls at everybody who isn't smart like them. But I listened to If Books Could Kill this morning, and the hosts of that show both come from ground zero of whatever alt culture that is. I see that guy's moniker is "planefag". Maybe that affectation is big in certain LBGTQ communities. One of the hosts of that show is trans. This morning, they were dunking on In Covid's Wake.

I rarely see that style but I can imagine tiring of it. I thought the post was a useful reminder of all the mischief Iran has supported. Pretty much non-stop, since the revolution.
