White Chicken Chili over roasted cauliflower. I still have 15 (really 30) pounds to go. Getting there, though.

That steak looks just right. Strip? Or Ribeye?
-
Scrambled egg on toast with cheese. Living the dream.
This evening I shall be opening a number of cheeky little Californian beverages, with a sophisticated bouquet and delightful notes of beer. Torpedo time, baby.

Well, being a Brit, that's haute cuisine. 🤪

Looks perfect.
We had some fish in a chili oil soup. My favorite dish from the best Chinese restaurant we are aware of.

I think I will go break out a bottle of red blend someone gave me last Christmas. -

Because of time zones, I only read this after finishing dinner a while ago.
Let’s see, entrecôte steaks medium rare from the Weber, bone marrow bones, whole roasted cauliflower. Small appetizer of stuffed grape leaves.
A local small winery from the golan heights -Cabernet.
Too stuffed for a dessert. -
Enough of this seriousness. Let’s eat!
So.. what’s for dinner?
Here at Chez Mik it’s Steak and Blue Cheese Salad and a 2018 Abbot Claim Pinot Noir I’ve been sitting on a few years. Only Oregon can put one out that rivals Burgundy.

Good that Dollar Tree can get such a high value, low cost product to its customers.

They’re very good at that.

This sunday night I had steelhead fillets. They always look so beautiful, just like perfect salmon, but I've tried them before and been disappointed. Not this time. This time I would have sworn they were salmon if I didn't know otherwise. At half the price salmon, I'll never buy salmon again when steelhead is available. Too bad it's only available at Costco.

We stopped by a Dollar Tree today. No ribeyes, but they had biscuit sliced country ham. Fantastic on breakfast sandwiches.
