Why the NBA sucks these days

Or maybe, "why some older fans think the NBA sucks these days". YMMV. But I like this guy's perspective. Spoiler alert: Lebron and his attitude has been a subtle poison to the league.

I used to listen to Colin Cowherd a lot when he was on ESPN. (now a fox sports guy)
NBA, and NFL were doing well at the time, with MLB and NHL having trouble in their respective markets. His opinion was the leagues that were doing well---the business people (owners) were more in control. When the power dynamic shifted too far to the players...product on the field ended up suffering, with ratings and attendance following.
Not sure his thoughts these days. Sports guys are tough to listen to, with a constant dash to make the next 'hot take'

Expand the NBA court to accommodate bigger, faster players

I can’t stand basketball. But I’ll say this - A team of LeBrons beats a team of MJ’s 9 times out of 10.
-
I've got a better idea. Eliminate the three point line or at the very least, move it back to twelve feet from midcourt. Move the basket up to eleven feet.
-
I like the higher basket idea although it would never happen. NBA players (yes talented and hard working) got lucky, it’s like us playing on 8 foot rims. So much easier.
I don’t really watch the game, but presume the video highlights that players just move to teams to compete (not fair), complain all the time, and shoot 3s all the time.

Give you another one...I don't mind letting guys and gals play, but basketball has devolved to jungle ball. I routinely see hand-checking, traveling, turning the ball over on the dribble, etc. Tighten up the officiating. Basketball is a game with a lot of finesse, let's see more of it.

I’d like them to go back to 80’s style D rules.
