Stargate!

Somewhat related, when I first moved to Minnesota I thought it was ripe for data centers. The climate is cooler (which helps), there is land, there is water, there is power (and potential for more), and geographically it's the last major city until you hit Denver and/or the west coast... Anyway, it sounds like Meta and other companies are starting to buy land for building data centers.

How much was the internet expansion supposed to cost by President Biden?
-
Big difference...Biden produced nothing. Oracle is already building a 500,000 sqft building in Abilene, with more to follow.
Trump was talking >$1T investment today. He wasn't specific on Federal input, other than streamlining all permit processes (including importing talent) and making sure these centers have adequate power.

100,000 jobs, almost immediately
@George-K think the reporters have already started their Trump Lie tracker? Let's see if he beats the 30,573 lies told between 2017-2021.
Of course, if 100,000 people have new jobs working for Stargate in the next 30 days, I'll happily eat my words. I'll print this page out and eat it and video tape it. Otherwise, just another lie. People are too used to his exaggerations that they don't even see it anymore.
(And believe me, I think Trump for anything he's doing to push this concept along. Just wish he could avoid lies about it when he speaks)
