New Year’s Eve Plans?

I bought a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting for desert.
Maybe some whiskey and Netflix.
I played golf yesterday, I played golf today, and while normal people will be in bed enjoying the hangover, I'll play golf tomorrow at around sunrise, as usual.
Happy New Year

And a thunderstorm rolled in.. Can’t even light off the last of the fireworks…

Well that was certainly interesting.
We're just at home hanging out. Then I realized I couldn't find Moki. Or the cats.
Moki had wedged herself underneath a hallway dresser, which she's never done before. The cats were also in weird corners of the house. We got the bun out from her hiding spot just to keep an eye on her and left the cats where they were.
Then the storm hit.
The wind was so rough it was shaking the windows. It's not like they're single-pane or anything. Then hail so bad it was setting off car alarms. And something that I realize isn't that rare but for me was a new experience: green lightning. I don't mean had a green tinge, I'm talking I fully expected Voldemort to be behind the lightning.
Still going through now but it's not nearly as dramatic. One hell of a storm.

@Mik said in New Year’s Eve Plans?:
What, a middle aged guy with money? Is there any more desirable position for a guy to be in?
Uhm, @jon-nyc is 5 years past middle aged…

Something Mrs. George ate disagreed with her this afternoon, in an...explosive way, so we cancelled our plans for pizza.
We're both in our jammies, and I'm nursing some Glenlivet.

You have a sick wife and it’s the whiskey getting nursed?

She's a retired ICU nurse...

I’m worried that Luke might be a little too mature. He Messengered us at 7:10 (12:10) in London. He, Hanna, and friends were back from the pub, toasted New Years in the hotel bar, and were on their way back to their rooms so they could have a good night’s sleep before the parade.
These are 21 year olds, visiting London… On New Year’s Eve…
I would have been crawling back into the room sometime between 5AM and 7AM…

@LuFins-Dad fantastic.
As I've said, your kids become your friends at age 25. Sounds like Luke is going to reach that barrier early.
Good for you.

I was going to express a similar sentiment rather indelicately assuming it was some tart from Essex rather than his girlfriend.

Wow! Just watched the radar replay. Looks almost like there was a mini derecho whipping northeast in the middle of the larger rain front heading towards NY.
