I wonder what they mean by "not integrating well." Do they not enjoy lutefisk, or are they, ahem, eating cats?

Looking at crime in Sweden, it's up about 20% over the last 10 years. Per capita is up about the same, if not more, but it's spread out more since 1976.

      image.png

But the two types of crime seem to have taken off in the last 20 years (and this chart only goes to 2016). But "The rate of exposure to sexual offences has remained relatively unchanged, according to the SCS, since the first survey was conducted in 2006, despite an increase in the number of reported sex crimes.[73] This discrepancy can largely be explained by reforms in sex crime legislation, widening of the definition of rape,[74][75][76] and an effort by the Government to decrease the number of unreported cases."

Bigger concern is people who will now swarm in only to be paid to leave. Hopefully they foresaw that and date limited it.

Will Sweden allow the swarms to repay the money, plus interest, when they are able?

The only solution to immigration problems is to figure out ways to improve economic opportunities in the source countries. The immigration conflict will always be there, but with modern travel and communication, it's much easier than it was 100+ years ago to move around.

We are a naturally tribal species. It's not wrong to want to keep your cultural (tribal/community) values and traditions and that is inherently disrupted when outside tribes flood in.

Call me racist, but it would be very weird to see Japan with a population of tall black folks speaking Swahili, or to see Columbia with a population of asian looking folks speaking Korean, or Sweden with brown-skinned Indians speaking in Hindi, or France without the white french-speaking population (oh wait..., too late?). My point being... the world has forever been tribal and only relatively recently are we seeing an influx that's mixing the pot.

Yes and no. The United States was founded as an immigrant country. All the waves of immigration from the 18 th century, 19 th century, 20th century improved the mix. Not everyone is a mayflower descendant. Up there in minnesooota is Scandinavian immigration. Down there in jolly’s Louisiana is full of German immigration. New York got the Italians and the Jews and the Irish. So melting pots are not the problem.

Well, almost. There are a good many German families, but if we go way back it's French, Spanish, Caribbean in South Louisiana and Scots/Irish/English in North Louisiana.

More accurately re-colonization. But keep at it. Persistence pays off.
