It really feels like Trump is the most affected by the 3rd party candidates, but it’s weird…

WSJ in a 2 way race has Trump 49, Harris 47. In a 5-Way it’s Trump 44, Harris 45, RFK 4, West 1, Stein 1…. That implies ALL of RFK’s voters and half of the West/Stein voters have Trump as their #2.

NYT has Trump 48, Harris 47 in a 2-way, but when you go Cincinnati style it’s Trump 43, Harris 44, RFK 4, Stein 1, West 0…

@jon-nyc nailed it when he warned R’s about supporting RFK thinking it would weaken the Dems…

To me it seems like we basically shook the etch-a-sketch.

Let’s see where the polls converge in a month or so after the country absorbs her VP pick and the convention with its concomitant horrors.

It’s like the assassination attempt has been buried. Republicans are too busy trying to attack Kamala and not promoting the most iconic moment in the last 40 years.

Two quite historic events in 8 days. Neither has an analogue in 50+ years. It’s really remarkable.

It really is. I do think Trump hurt himself with the VP pick.

Yeah, but the thing is every time you think Trump has shot himself in the foot he comes out stronger.

The timing was all carefully scored months ago.

There’s still for another historical event if Trump is sentenced to prison. Could be first President to serve from behind bars.

Though he’s been a net loser in every election since 2016.

Assassination attempt? There was an assassination attempt?

Lemme check Google.... Damn, I didn't know they tried to knock off Truman. 😱 Gee, I hope Bess is okay....

So Nate Silver is showing Kamala with an even wider electoral vote gap than Joe.

I still think she's not well known, yet. As her past political positions become known, her negatives will rise. How that impacts the vote, I'm not sure.

Again, in a 2 way race, Bloomberg has Trump at 49-46. In a 5 way, it’s Trump 46-45, with RFK getting 3 and Stein getting 1. It seems pretty clear that RFK is dragging votes from Donald, not the Dems…
