Looks intriguing.

They did...sort of.
Watched a couple yesterday. It's good, but not compelling.
The sets, costumes and dialog are all great. Well, the dialog is good.
The acting is fine as well, but I never lose sight of the fact that it's F'ing Michael Douglas playing Ben Franklin.
The story...well, it's all about his time in Paris. It's intrigue, politics, spying, etc. A great amount of the story is devoted to his grandson.
Good, but not memorable, like "John Adams."

Another critic heard from.
Makes some really good points.
- Though mildly interesting, Franklins sojourn in Europe is, although significant, hardly fodder for an 8 hour miniseries.
- The pace is not slow - it's glacial.
- Too many repetitions of intrigue all of which blend together.
