My feeling about my neighborhood is that a Trump yard sign will be shunned, at least by the people I’ve met so far. But I’ve also seen one in a garage as a walked by. Should be interesting.

    Education is extremely important.

I considered whether it was autocorrect or sarcasm, but the meaning was the same in both cases.

          @Renauda said in Trump’s shortlist:

I just don’t think she would be the passive sycophant he expects.

          Maybe she would be........

Once a prominent backer of the leftwing senator Bernie Sanders, on Thursday she was greeted by far-right activists with a standing ovation and a group of supporters brandishing gold letters that spelled T-R-U-M-P.

Such is the journey of Tulsi Gabbard, a former Democratic congresswoman and presidential candidate who has an entire Wikipedia page devoted to her “political positions” and is now seen as a possible running mate for Donald Trump.

There are few better examples, critics say, of how the Trump era has scrambled the ideology not only of the Republican party but opportunists seeking media cachet and a book deal.

@taiwan_girl silly question, but how are you so in tune with US politics, just this forum? It’s very impressive but I have no idea what I’d expect if I were born and living abroad.

@89th This board in its topics is pretty diverse, but for politics, the focus is (mostly) on the US.

I am not native born but a US citizen also, so it is interesting.

The US influence and power is much greater than its population % as compared to the world total population.

Plus, I guess I just like current events. LOL

It is impressive, I just have to say! Many dumb Americans, including myself, have no clue what's going on in other countries.

I wasn’t aware that you had become a US citizen.

I had always been under the impression you were working for the Taiwanese foreign service in various postings as a commercial officer.

I figured either that or an international org like world bank, un, etc.

I figured she was engaged in some kind of espionage.

And I'm about 70% sure that she might be Jolly.

How many people actually vote for the Vice President? I guess it is quite a very small %.

(It may be more important to people voting for President Biden this time however.)

Considering the actuarial data for longevity with respect to Trump and POTATUS, the choice of a vice-president would seem to be unusually important this go-around.

You'd like to have someone who would ideally bring something to the table, preferably from a swing state.
