    How, exactly, will that happen?

Well, why isn't reform happening now?

No, you mentioned "extremist pro-2A people constituting an obstacle." Are they in the majority of the population? Does the majority of legislators support them?

High %of US population supports gun control

I have only linked to one poll, but a search will show that almost every poll (regardless of how conservative/liberal the poller is) shows that a pretty high majority of the US public supports gun control.

Is it the same for the legislators? Hmmm, not sure. Part of the problem with the gerrymander of districts is that often times, the legislators do not represent the majority view of their patients.

    Get me 38 states.

@Jolly Would be hard. The current primary system rewards the "fringe" candidate on both sides.

Would be exceeding hard. And has nothing to do with fringe anything.

If reform means taking away guns, it is bad reform.

Arms are essential to maintaining freedom.

Sorry, but that is just the way it is.

As it is meant to be.

My brother too is focusing on our primary system. It is not currently turning out the way some want, so it must be changed, they say. Same thing they say about that stroke of genius, the electoral college. And the Supreme Court.

That's the way to tyranny - trying to fix the outcomes.

That's made like 3mi from where I lived when I was my son's current age. My best friend from that era has worked for George for decades.

Pistol caliber (most likely 9x19) folding carbine. Like most Kel-tec stuff, very innovative, but a lot of plastic and not always great build quality. Takes Glock mags, which means you can get an extended 33 rounder. One of the shortest videos I saw on the weapon, FF to about 3:20 to watch them shooting it...

A grand jury indicted Crimo in February on seven counts of reckless conduct, one for each person his 19-year-old son killed in the attack, after he sponsored his son's Firearm Owners Identification application, which allowed him to buy the AR-15-style weapon he used.

Prosecutors have pointed out that by signing the document, Crimo agreed to be "liable for any damages resulting from the minor applicant’s use of firearms or firearm ammunition."

How would you like to be the shooter's parent and be looking at jail time for what he did?

                          It was his choice, no?

I suppose it's the equivalent of co-signing your kid's loan or credit card or rental application, you are on the hook if you kid becomes delinquent or trashed his rental. But still, "liable for damage" usually means property damage, with the "liability" being monetary in nature, no? Loss of personal freedom is rather different in nature.

Legally speaking, I think "liable" is different from "guilty." Liability is used for civli cases, guilt in criminal cases.

An Illinois father pleaded guilty on Monday to multiple counts of reckless conduct for helping his troubled underage son obtain a gun that the latter used to kill seven people at a Fourth of July parade in 2022.

Illinois Circuit Court Judge George Strickland sentenced Robert Crimo Jr. to two years of probation and 60 days in custody of the Lake County sheriff, as well as 100 hours of public service. The father of the accused shooter was also ordered to surrender his firearm owner identification card and any ammunition.

For the second time in as many months, the man accused of opening fire on attendees at the 2022 Independence Day parade in Highland Park, killing seven and injuring dozens more, failed to appear for a scheduled court appearance.

Judge Victoria Rosetti warned attorneys representing Robert Crimo III that if he doesn’t appear at his next court date, proceedings will continue without him and he will waive his right to confront any witnesses against him. Crimo last month refused to leave his jail cell when informed by corrections staff that he was due in court.

Crimo has not appeared in court since June when he rejected a plea deal.
