Which is what he has said all along. Honestly, if you are not smart enough to discern that the guy and those around him are frequently tested and safe and that you do not have that level of protection I don’t know what to tell you.

Nobody wants to hear that. It doesn't fit the media narrative.

“Cry havoc and let slip the DOGE of war!”

Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

It’s not his mask wearing per se that’s important. It’s the sizeable portion of his base that is hostile to the idea. That group could have been much smaller than it is today had he adopted the right attitude early and consistently.

        Only non-witches get due process.

@Mik What does "frequently tested and safe" mean? And if you believe everything coming out of the White House just because it's what you want to hear, then I don't know what to tell you.

But he didn't! Now he needs to change their minds! He needs to provide informed leadership! What his base believes isn't carved in stone.

True but more non mask wearers are likely anti Trump and are more responsible for the spread.

I forgot to add: I think he cannot do that, because that would require admitting he was wrong, and that is the very thing he cannot do, because in his mind that woujld be leaving himself open to blame. He can't go forward, but he can't go back because events are overrunning him. He's stuck.

Right there... The majority of the folks I am seeing not wearing masks are definitely not Trump supporters.

When one of your biggest concerns is whether or not Trump wears a mask, it's time to face the fact that you (the collective "you") need to leave the decision making to those who have not yet lost their minds.

When you are unable to discern that the mask wearing issue is symptomatic of a much bigger problem, it's time to face the fact that you need to leave the decision making to those who have the necessary scope.
