Fenway Park
Isn't that wonderful? Fenway fans are like that, very well schooled.
I sold a lot of beer in that spot where the camera man was standing.

My God, they're willing to watch baseball sober?
That's dedication right there.

The other bud light boycott.
https://www.spiked-online.com/2023/05/12/the-other-bud-light-boycott/
It includes this little nugget:
LGBTQ+’ bars are what we used to know as gay pubs, before they were expanded to become inclusive and welcoming of heterosexual men who like to imagine that they are lesbians.

@Jolly Stock valuation is only a good barometer over a much longer period and has to be compared with similar business valuations. Lost revenue really is the best judge.

You're probably right, but I still have this warm, fuzzy feeling...

At the same time, it is worth pointing out that Coors-Molson's stock is up a fair amount. I think a fair amount of the Bud Light drinkers will likely permanently switch over to Miller Lite or Coors Lite. Bud Light's popularity was waning before all this, which is why they were trying to shake up the marketing. On a global scale, however, Bud Light is their 7th best-selling beer.
Target and the Dodgers are going to be much more interesting stories. It is a lot harder to switch big box retailers and gorocers. And the Dodgers? If you're a team fan that has decades and thousands of dollars invested? It will be interesting to see what happens there.

AB is putting out all sorts of stuff on both Bud brands to try to counteract. yesterday I saw an ad for Bud with special edition Harley Davidson cans. Then a bud light concert ad featuring biological women and a popular country song.
Good luck.

It's not worth it.

If I was inviting a bunch of Americans over for the weekend that would be pretty tempting.

No, they're transsexuals. Credit me with some taste.

Now this is interesting. This is including sales going into Memorial Day Weekend, but not Memorial Day itself…
https://nypost.com/2023/06/06/anheuser-buschs-bud-light-sales-drop-23-9/
Now here’s the part that people are trying to use to show that the boycott’s turning around -
Sales volume — or number of cases sold containing 12 cans or more — was down 27.8% compared with 29.5%, marking the first time the declines didn’t grow steeper in the seven weeks that this data has been tracked,
But here’s the thing… Bud Light was offering $15 rebates off any sales of a 12 pack and above. The 18-pack sells for $15. So that is free beer. Even with free beer on one of the busiest beer drinking weekends of the year, they were down 28%. That is FAR worse than last week’s 29%.
Expect them to continue offering free beer just to try to show that the numbers are turning… But the really interesting thing is what happens in the fall if retailers reduce their shelf space (and they likely will). That will increase their losses substantially. We could be watching a brand completely self destruct.

Is it possible that Bud-Light is actually a Brewster's Millions situation?
Many years ago, a young man was promised a vast fortune, all he had to do was go out of business. So he invented Bud Light, with the very reasonable assumption that nobody in their right mind would drink the stuff. But of course, man plans and God laughs. And God really had it in for this guy.
So, what the heck to do? Piss off God and Bud-Light fanbois in one fell swoop, that's what!
QED, or something.
