72 here and sunny. Grilling a Tri tip on the gas grill with a strawberry macadamia salad. Was going to smoke the Tri tip, but it’s a little breezy.

What are y’all doing with this warm spell?

You don’t get a lot of party invites, do you? 😁

Tri tip is one of my favorite cuts for the grill. We do have challenging time finding them here, very rare to find in the local grocery. We have a meat market in Chesapeake, 45+ min away, that is one of the few reliable spots. Is it very hard to find in your area?

No, but I have to go to the butcher shop. The grocers carry some occasionally but they’re usually marinated already and I never trust them.

Watching the snow on my grill go from 24" down to like 7"!

Yes the pre-marinated is always suspect; we used to be able to find them at Trader Joe's but always marinated and too much of the fat was trimmed off, just not the same. There is a meat market a little closer and I was able to ask them to cut it for me but the next time I went in they said they don't do that anymore 😞 I was spoiled in California and Colorado, you could find decent ones in the grocery but my sister tells me even in Colorado that is getting more difficult.
