72 here and sunny. Grilling a Tri tip on the gas grill with a strawberry macadamia salad. Was going to smoke the Tri tip, but it’s a little breezy.
What are y’all doing with this warm spell?

Tri tip is one of my favorite cuts for the grill. We do have challenging time finding them here, very rare to find in the local grocery. We have a meat market in Chesapeake, 45+ min away, that is one of the few reliable spots. Is it very hard to find in your area?

No, but I have to go to the butcher shop. The grocers carry some occasionally but they’re usually marinated already and I never trust them.

Yes the pre-marinated is always suspect; we used to be able to find them at Trader Joe's but always marinated and too much of the fat was trimmed off, just not the same. There is a meat market a little closer and I was able to ask them to cut it for me but the next time I went in they said they don't do that anymore
I was spoiled in California and Colorado, you could find decent ones in the grocery but my sister tells me even in Colorado that is getting more difficult.
