    I like working actors, not megastars. Anthony Hopkins, Annette Bening, Edie Falco, Robert Duvall, Jeff Bridges, Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro, the list goes on and on.

      Yeah, but those are all A-list actors. Watching some movies, I frequently see "that guy," and when I go to IMDB, I see a B-list actor who has done a ton of movies, frequently one per year.
      That's a career to admire.

        Oh also Jason Isaacs. He was in a one-season show I really enjoyed called "Awake" (2012) about a man in a car crash who wakes up each morning with either his son still alive or his wife still alive, but not both. It was a good show, IIRC. He's often known for playing Malfoy in Harry Potter, or even the asshole British colonel in The Patriot.

            My nominee would be the guy that was a jobber on some of the late 90’s crime dramas, kind of got his break as the voice for an M&M, started doing a little voice over work, then became THE character actor of the 2000s appearing in or doing voice work in 98 feature films, 76 television/streaming series (and over 600 actual episodes), and 10 video games. He’s also narrated about a dozen audiobooks…

            He’s also recorded hundreds of commercials as the M&M and dozens of commercials for a major insurance company…

              Also in Brotherhood. Very well done series.

                Lena Olin.

                I loved her in Havana, a very underrated movie that also starred Robert Redford and Raul Julia.

                  @jon-nyc

                  I see that one also starred Alan Arkin -- another very good underrated actor.

                  A favorite of mine has always been William T. Macy. I think the camera didn't love him the way it has other major stars.

                  Another one is Danny Glover. He starred in a PBS production, where he played the devil. He took your breath away. Made you sorry he piddled around with those cop-comedy things when he could have burned up the world.

                    J.K. Simmons has almost achieved actual stardom due to the sheer volume (and quality) of what he's done.

                          @Catseye3 I love Bill Pullman. He lives nearby (by Montana standards). His brother is a an infectious disease doctor in Butte, and is who finally got the hospital to do a Covid Test on Steve back in the beginning of March, 2020.
