    Money is green.

“Cry havoc and let slip the DOGE of war!”

Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

Cynical me wonders if Trump will find a venue near a Trump property to house the delegates.

Doesn’t need to be Trump himself. There are enough people on his staff who wants to please him who will nudge deliberations that way. If the GOP wants to have their national convention at or near a Trump Organization property, let them. It’s party money, it’s donor money; they can decide where they spend it.

Trump said ‘we can’t do social distancing’ at convention, and attendees shall not be required to wear mask. He wants a packed stadium of maskless crowd cheering his coronation.

Are you saying Trump puts his own personal political interest above the health and safety of his supporters?

          Say it ain’t so, Don.

COVID-19 (Chinese flu) is no longer related to health and safety.

Ironic, because this could put many of his attendees (voters) in the grave before Election Day

I find it rather amusing the way just two weeks ago the Left wanted people arrested if they went outside without a mask, but now they can "protest" by the thousands and nothing is said about the Chinese virus, but they pick right back up again when talking about the Republican convention.

It seems it's only republicans who have to stay at home.....

Take it one step further...once he did that as our leader he gave permission for all the protesters. Maybe the thought of injecting bleach as encouragment was a rational fear.

As for the formal nomination of Trump to again be the Republican Party’s Presidential candidate, will it happen in a Jacksonville, Florida?

                        https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/republicans-are-tentatively-set-to-move-their-party-to-jacksonville/2020/06/10/64e74b66-a660-11ea-b473-04905b1af82b_story.html

Oh, and this little paragraph in the article caught my eyes:

“The RNC’s executive committee voted Wednesday to reuse its 2016 platform to avoid requiring delegates to debate and vote on new policies, according to a person familiar with the decision.”

It looks to me like they are afraid that if there is a debate and a vote on policies, both will end up embarrassing.

Sure I did. You opined about nuttery and I gave you a real life proof point. If one can whatabout something real as a retort to a hypothetical and that is whataboutism then whataboutism loses its rhetorical punch.

Really? The 2016 Democratic Platform called Trump a Russian Spy? I wouldn't be completely shocked if it did, but my money would bet the other way.
