Stopping and Searching a Student Lacrosse Team

One assumes that busloads of black people do not routinely get pulled over and searched for drugs. But I suppose if I believed the race narrative, I would assume that that is exactly what happens. I don't suppose the specifics of this incident will be disseminated, should it become clear that skin color was not a factor.

It sounds very bad on its face, but I'd like to hear from the LEOs as to what their thinking was.

Doesn't sound like probable cause or possession of a search warrant for each traveler's personal possessions or Delaware State University equipment. The University and each student should file a joint action law suit against the County Sheriff for infringement of constitutional rights.

@jon-nyc I'd like to know more, too. But the sheriff better have a good (and truthful) explanation. This looks bad.
The worst thing he can do is lie to make his men look better than they were. If he does and it gets out, things could get, in the words of writer CJ Box, "real western". Better he 'fesses up and administers penalties, if that in fact is called for.
Whatever the truth, it leaves a bad taste and a bad smell.

The story says it all started with two deputies and then grew to six, plus K9s. I wonder how many of the six were black. Oh, but [face slap] I guess that would depend on how many black deputies are in the department!

So the case for this being a race thing, hinges on the cops escalating the investigation after noticing the bus was filled with black people. Seems everybody agrees that the initial stop was blind to that information.

Apparently it was running pretty fast, if that tells you anything.
