I read that and instantly thought, "Sweet! A babysitter!"
Happy birthday, d00d

Happy Birthday, 89!
Don't worry, being 40 doesn't last long. Before you know it, you'll turn 50.

Happy Birthday!!!!!
(This goes way back, I think to the beginning of the New COffee Room, or a bit after that. But, I remember @89th predicting that George Bush Jr. would go down as one of the greatest presidents ever. I remember comments at the time, that we would have to re-visit that after a few years have passed. Not sure why I remember that or why I brought it up now. 555 )

That didn't age well. Not awfully, just not terribly well.

His fan base seems more left of center these days, weirdly enough.

Late to the party— happy birthday!

89 already?

Thanks everyone!
@xenon - I'd rather be turning 30 again. Fewer stiff necks when I wake up.
@Doctor-Phibes - Yes 50 will be here before I know it. I still remember a fun 30th birthday event (took a bus to some wineries with friends) as if it was a year ago. When I turn 50, my kids will be 14 and 11. Weird to think, but as I recall meeting your young kids in 2007 in that deli in Boston...they do indeed grow up quickly. (For the record, Phibes and his beautiful wife were both there too)
@taiwan_girl - that is funny! I really liked Bush Jr. I thought he was much smarter and more authentic than the press gave him credit for during his time in office. My opinion of him has only grown since then.
@George-K - So far to the right... LOL. I don't think I've changed much. On a scale of 0 (left) to 100 (right), I probably was around an 80 in 2005 and am now in the low 70s?

When he released the public statement re-affirming the race narrative in the wake of George Floyd, I lost respect for him as a thinking human being. I also lost a sliver of hope for humanity in general, when someone like him can get swept up by the righteous mob group-think like that. He didn't need to say anything.
