My friend, Surgeon Ray, was part owner of a B-25, and every year, he and the "Weary Warriors" would fly over our neighborhoods. A couple of times he took some OR staff with him (not me, sadly).
That's Ray on the right, by the way.
He said it cost them about $500 an hour to fly the thing.

Link to videoHe said he has some significant hearing loss from the engine noise (look how close he is). But there's nothing cooler than cruising at about 160 knots at about 5,000 feet, sliding the window open, and putting your arm on the sill.
He also said this was like driving a truck. Not graceful or lithe by any standard. It was WORK.
