Miss Kitty...

Tough thing to go through, indeed, Larry. When a pet has been with you for so long, they become part of you. I remember you talking about Cooter (that was his name, wasn't it?) and how hard it was.

Yes, Cooter. He was something... he loved me like dogs love you. You knew that he welcomed your petting him, but his love was just for me.
A funny story about Miss Kitty... up until about a year ago when my dog Booger showed up, every time I went outside Miss Kitty would go sit by the floor to ceiling windows and watch me leave. When she heard my car pull up again she would come running to the door (which is also framed glass) and watch as I came into the house, wanting me to pick her up and pet her. Sometimes she would just sit at the door looking out and wait the entire time I was gone. There were many times she would sit by the door for hours and never leave her spot until I got back home.
Miss Kitty lived a life filled with love. She had her own bedroom, her own bathroom, she ate her favorite brand of food, a fresh little co trainer was opened and given to her any time she wanted to eat. She never wanted for anything - whether it was material, or loved on. I'm going to miss her, but I am at peace with it because she's better off.
