Tucker went after the Winter of Death speech tonight

There are now more covid deaths under Mr. Biden with the vaccine than under Mr. Trump without the vaccine

There have been zero deaths in the US from the Omicron variant

Go watch Tucker, it is really fun

I like when he plays those quick-cut things that show every cnn anchor saying the same catch-phrase

Today all the cnn people (there must have been at least a dozen on different cnn shows) used the phrase 'viral blizzard'

As in, OMG! A viral blizzard is about to hit the US!

First, Trump wouldn't have said it.

You're right. It needs a few more exclamation points and nickname insults.

Second, tell me what problems it is you have with "MAGA country"...

Did I say I had problems? What I said is had Trump said this, there would be those (who criticize it) who would praise its brutal honesty.

Then if that was all you said, why did you takes the time and effort to sneer at the "MAGA" crowd? You don't even see your own bias. "If Trump had said it" his no reason to write what you wrote, because it's a false premise. Trump WOULDNT have said it. The very fact that he wouldn't have said it in the first place makes your entire point ridiculoys.

How did I sneer? All I said is the MAGA crowd would've cheered such a brutally honest comment. If anything, it's a compliment that the MAGA cohort likes the unfiltered, politically incorrect, approach. I like it, too.

I bet if Trump had said this, which would've match his unfiltered approach (most of the time I appreciated), MAGA country would be cheering this on as unfiltered honesty.

        Which is what it is.

        Absolute horseshit..

Was a lot gloomier with the original virus, or don't you remember? And Trump said nothing of the kind.

Well the vaccine wasn't out for the masses yet in Dec 2020. But had it been, and had Trump said something of the kind, it probably would've saved lives. Then again, in Dec 2020 Trump was focused on something else...

BTW I had my very first COVID test today. I've done a bit of business travel the past week and wanted to get checked out before being around family (especially older relatives). Did a drive-thru PCR test at a CVS, should find out in a day or two. No symptoms, just being careful. Oh, no line either... I found it pretty easy to book an appointment via the Minnesota health website.

Or, you're very early in the process, without enough circulating copies to ping the test. 😊

What exactly is incorrect about the statement from the White House?

              QUOTE
In October, unvaccinated individuals had a 5 times greater risk of testing positive for COVID-19 and a 14 times greater risk of dying from it, as compared to fully vaccinated individuals, according to data compiled by the CDC. Additionally, unvaccinated individuals had a 10 times greater risk of testing positive for COVID-19 and a 20 times greater risk of dying from it, as compared to fully vaccinated individuals with a booster.
              UNQUOTE

I am sure people will say, "oh, if they want to take the risk, that is their choice.". NO, it is like a pebble being dropped into a pond. Their being in the hospital means one less bed for someone who has scheduled surgery. Which means they are putting others in danger. Etc etc Someone wants to drive 100 km/hr down a residential street. "OH, that it their choice. If they want to risk their life, they should be able to do it." Eye yay yay 🙄

Again, it gets back to the point that to live in a civilized society, there are things that we should (or must) do that we may not fully agree with.

Either way, that means 90%+ of cases are not breakthrough, 90%+ of cases hit the unvaccinated.

So non-vaccinated made up 90% of the cases? That's greater than 5 times the risk for testing positive, which is what the government claimed.

@Axtremus @Doctor-Phibes Agree, That was my point. It is one thing to have COVID and be mild or no symptoms.

Another stage all together to be in the hospital.

So non-vaccinated made up 90% of the cases? That's greater than 5 times the risk for testing positive, which is what the government claimed.

Yeah but it's a democrat saying it so it must be criticized.

Reminder: I am a conservative, but I am glad to see the government making the messaging very clear.

You like the government waaay too much to be conservative, other than the typical beltway crap.

What claims have I made that imply I like the government? What I like, in this case, is the government being clear in the messaging about how we can get past this pandemic. What I don't like are the continued mask mandates, COVID waves, and deaths across the country. Politics has nothing to do with this. I'd be saying the same thing if Trump sent this message.

It’s poor and misleading statistical analysis for one. Let’s say that EVERY SINGLE PERSON that is hospitalized is unvaccinated (and we know that’s not true) then .065% of the unvaccinated are hospitalized with COVID.

The way it’s presented makes it seem like 99.9975% of the hospitalizations are unvaccinated and we know that’s simply not true. The real number is likely around 20%. And yes, @Doctor-Phibes that means that 30% of the population represents 80% of the hospitalizations. Obviously vaccination helps. Just not at the levels that we are being led to believe.

I’ notice that they’re are also not pointing out that that 80% or more of the hospitalized are elderly.

That's the thing - pretty much any numbers being thrown around now are estimations or WAGs. Omi is too new. We know that vaccination provides a pretty robust defense against serious illness. But that doesn't really help you as an individual or predict your response.

Based on the Delta numbers provided by the UK, Israel, and the 12 or so states that actually tracked it. @Jolly confirmed it himself for his hospital and I have heard similar numbers from others in hospitals.

So, where's the argument not to get vaccinated currently sitting?

20% of people on Facebook think it might be a bad idea based on what they'd heard on Instagram?

34% of random people doing podcasts have friends who'd heard of somebody who's bollocks swelled up?

                                          "Let's go Brandon"?

                                          I was only joking
