      Ah, the halcyon days when Harry Reid pushed for filibuster reform, and everyone nodded, smiling appropriately.

      A few short years later, when the same procedures bite them in the ass...well, get the fainting couch.

          Good question. Admittedly, I didn't follow politics "back then" as I do now.

          Would any Senate Majority leader have claimed such a lie as Harry Reid did about Romney's taxes, and brush it off with a "well, he didn't win, did he?" comment?

          I guess lying about people on the floor of the "Greatest Deliberative Body on the Planet" was OK back then.

            @George-K Goose/Gander.

            It depends on how far they take it. I’d argue Waters’ encouraging confrontation of administration officials absolutely qualifies her for losing her seat.

            But stripping someone of their seat for criticizing a foreign government? That’s not ok and is certainly not “goose/gander” material.

            Only non-witches get due process.
