Ah, the halcyon days when Harry Reid pushed for filibuster reform, and everyone nodded, smiling appropriately.
A few short years later, when the same procedures bite them in the ass...well, get the fainting couch.
This is no different.
Sauce/Goose/Gander.
Lather/Rinse/Repeat.

Did pols of yesteryear take a little bit longer view? What you do today, bites tomorrow?
Good question. Admittedly, I didn't follow politics "back then" as I do now.
Would any Senate Majority leader have claimed such a lie as Harry Reid did about Romney's taxes, and brush it off with a "well, he didn't win, did he?" comment?
I guess lying about people on the floor of the "Greatest Deliberative Body on the Planet" was OK back then.

@George-K Goose/Gander.
It depends on how far they take it. I’d argue Waters’ encouraging confrontation of administration officials absolutely qualifies her for losing her seat.
But stripping someone of their seat for criticizing a foreign government? That’s not ok and is certainly not “goose/gander” material.
