What's the slowest moving line on the planet?

I have experienced the HD wait before…not common but when it happens, you can’t even tell who is working, where the line is, where to stand, and whether to stop crying or not.

What an excellent description. -

I remember in the early days the folks working there were amazing. Recent forays have been much less impressive. Must be hard to get good people. My HD experience is grab, scan and go without human intervention.
Fun read of your story, sagas are the best!

Taco Bell actually has the healthiest fast food. You can have three of their Fresco tacos for about 450 calories. Pretty tasty.

And they clean out the system! It’s like getting your dryer vent line blown out.

If I have to go to a large home improvement store, it's almost always Lowe's. Wish we had an 84 Lumber around here.

When we moved to small-town Canada, the local Home Depot was the best hardware shop we'd ever been to. You'd get shop assistants coming up to you with advice who clearly did this stuff in their spare time, and they were the most helpful and knowledgeable people you could imagine.
Then we moved to Massachusetts. What a shocker.
I sure do miss that Canadian Home Depot.

Here I have two Home Depot stores within a few miles of each other. One somehow consistently has more helpful staff than another. I cannot explain why that is.
Also has two Lowe’s around here. Lowe’s usually look cleaner and more organized than Home Depot’s (like Target to Walmart) and Lowe’s typically has more beautiful looking things (fixtures, vanities, etc.), but for building material, parts, and tools normally not meant to attract casual folks’ attention, it still looks to me that Home Depot has larger selections.

Yep. You usually have to sift thru 15 boards to find one good one, or at least one I would pay for.
