Nuthin. I'm doing nuthin. I didn't do nuthin yesterday either, and likely I won't do nuthin tomorrow. I think I'll sign up for welfare... I like doing nuthin, and I might as well get paid for doing it.

Yesterday I had a toaster delivered from Amazon. So today I've been eating toasted Ezekiel bread with the butter melted just right. Life is good.

Exciting to have Luke setting up his dorm room. Has he got a roommate?

I had an eye exam late this morning, the full eye exam with the air puffs, dilation, much alphabet soup to decifer, etc. Getting new glasses, too. Haven't done all that since 2012. Ya really.

Good news though. My right eye has improved so much it's now 20/20. My left eye ... it's the wild child. It's much worse. It's letting the right eye run the show unless I'm looking faaaaaar away. Ayup, the right eye has been nearsighted, and the left is farsighted, and getting farther and farther.

I'll be able to keep my eye on Larry soon.

@LuFins-Dad Congrats! Looks great. BTW - do they give you the blue bin on wheels? If so, that is brilliant. We just pulled the car up on the curb and carried shit with our hands. The portable dumpsters moving bins is a great idea.

Congrats on another milestone, Lufin! Our twins start school this fall too, but are going to local-enough state universities to commute. We'll enjoy the savings, though having a coupla kids out of the house would have been ok too, lol.

For me today, it's been work so far. Several moves (the NY invasion of suburban Connecticut continues) and finished up with a couple hours of shop work.

Going to run after work (6 or 7 @ comfortable whatever...plus 2 or 3 more with the Mrs after) Racing a 10k Sunday. It seems no matter how many miles I run in the heat, I certainly never feel acclimated, though I could just be a big baby. 👶

@brenda He does have a roommate, but Lucas had to move in early for Marching Band so that gave him his choice of beds… Bonus!

@89th Yep, they had dozens of those lined up. It was pretty well coordinated. Tomorrow is the normal move in for Freshman, but he had to report early for Band. One benefit they would have had tomorrow is teams of volunteers that load up the carts and move them for you. 5 minutes and you are in the room… we had to do it ourselves. Still, not too bad.

@Rich Congrats! I wish Luke had stayed more local, but I can think of worse places to visit than the Virginia Peninsula.

I remember that, it worked, it was probably the same dorm.

I think they figured the best part was that it got rid of the parents quickly.

It’s 93 out even now. I don’t think anyone on this board is going to call you a big baby for being bothered by the heat after running 10 miles.
