Guy’s, he’s going to Silicon Valley. What’s the homeless situation in San Fran, again? They obviously hired him as security.

I had a long talk with him afterwards. We exchanged cards. We’re going to meet up soon.

@Horace said in Jesus H: They are not the same culturally and cannot coexist. All the dirty water will eventually leave on it's own. And brand new water takes it's place every day. According to NASA, approximately 1.35 trillion tons of water leave the atmosphere daily through precipitation, which is essentially the same amount that enters the atmosphere through evaporation, maintaining a balanced water cycle on Earth; meaning the amount leaving is roughly equal to the amount entering each day. Key points about this: Water cycle balance: The amount of water entering the atmosphere through evaporation is roughly equal to the amount leaving through precipitation, keeping the total water content in the atmosphere relatively constant. Small atmospheric water content: Although large amounts of water cycle through the atmosphere each day, the actual amount of water present in the air at any given time is a small fraction of Earth's total water supply. Ocean dominance: Most of the evaporation and precipitation occurs over the oceans.

You can frame the lunatic fringe progressive ideas as the culprit in their loss in 2024 in any number of true ways. Not least that Kamala, a very weak candidate, would not have sniffed the nomination if she hadn't been lifted up out of the undistinguished masses of Dem politicians solely due to her gender and skin color.

I’ve seen old age. Past the early 80s it generally doesn’t look too attractive.

If NPR is breaking the law, I would prefer it be done that way. Then the opposition would be left with the weaker rhetoric that the courts are all ideologically captured. The rhetoric that the GOP hates liberal media, and will use the legislative branch to destroy it, is stronger.

That's good. I liked her from the hearing. People like her and Tulsi seem like genuinely independent voices, though I know people are flawed, and don't act entirely on principle, and I know most clearly that oppositional framings can always be deployed to make them look less principled than they are. All that understood, I am cautiously optimistic that her office will be less politicized than the previous one.

I think it’s all about enjoyment of music and learning something fun from a 6 yr old’s point of view. Something she’ll sit down at not just to practice lessons but to play with, experiment with, develop her ear for, sing with. It was way too formal and painful when I was a kid. That old wooden upright. My 65 yr old friend has a keyboard her daughter once used and I noticed girly pink flower stickers on it. If I had a redo as a parent, sure, why not? It’s all about enjoyment of music.
