Always good to have the vascular surgeons not too far away when picking tumors off vessels. I once spent hours trying to tease off a lymph node from the iliac artery. Finally I said can’t do it, called a vascular surgeon. Clamp clamp. Cut cut. (The artery that is) suture a patch on the vessel. Tosses to me and says here’s your lymph node. And leaves. All within a half hour. Balls of steel.

@LuFins-Dad said in Finally! A Medical Show that portrays cancer accurately: I suspect white cancer is caused by our guilt. It’s remarkable we still allow white blood cells to be the saviors of the body, too.

New York’s law will be enacted 180 days after New York Attorney General Letitia James finalizes guidelines. Attorney General Letitia James [image: 1718929957734-35b112fc-9ac6-468b-a657-8eefd883e223-image.png] I wonder if the law will mention Mr. Trump by name.

@Doctor-Phibes said in Oppenheimer: @Renauda said in Oppenheimer: @Doctor-Phibes Are you trying to tell us that even George Orwell was no darned good? No, I'm saying that Ayn Rand was the evil twin. That’s what I thought. That Ayn Rand was really a second string thinker, no damned good at all.

@Mik said in Good lead guitar...: Vocals were a bit rough. I wonder if that's just not a style she's most suited for. Everybody ain't Ann Wilson. I went down the rabbit hole last night and watched several of these. Keep in mind, these are high school kids for the most part.

My neighbors up the road (that's country slang for folks what live a half-mile from you) had to go to the nursing home last week. She's got an inoperable brain tumor. The old man is tougher than woodpecker lips and even though he's getting a paracentesis done periodically, he's stiil out there piddling in his yard. But he's not well enought to take care of his wife. He's in his mid-nineties, she's a couple of years younger. The kids have been staying with them at night and on the weekends. They have a sitter during the week days. My neighbors really didn't want to go, especially the old man. The main reason for their reluctance? Two cats. Both around six or seven years old. None of the kids want them and it seems nobody else does either. In a community with its share of barn cats, these are strictly climate controlled critters. I do hope they find a home for them...

@89th said in Back to school?: Good luck! Have you considered only taking one class per year? This reduces your out of pocket costs and increases the number of years you'll have parties like this. Points if you know where this is from: That would take 10 years. I would like to finish in 3. I would be concerned that the math I learned in year one would be obsolete by year 10. If I'm to be a hip new graduate with a fresh math degree, I need to be up on all the new math. I can't wait. Recently on Joe Rogan, Terrence Howard was explaining how 1x1=2. That's the sort of thing I'll be learning about in this program. Hot take 1: Wow, it's almost like they knew Trump would be a President who would refuse to accept his election loss 4 years later and incite an insurrection. Hot take 2: That video is so bad. These folks are no better than those who stormed the Capitol. Hot take 3: I love how Martin Sheen waits until the director says "action" to put on his glasses for intellectual effect. Hot take 4: How are these celebrities (I don't know half of them) not aware of how CRINGEY these types of videos are? Further, their political and patriotic qualifications of why electors should listen to them are...they can memorize lines for a tv show?
