I think you'd need to look at the boom in higher paying tech jobs during that time. If you'll recall, the mantra at the time was yes, we will lose manufacturing jobs, but better jobs (i.e. tech) will be created. I'm sure there are other types of employment to consider as well.
A couple of other odds and ends...I use B-D Veritor combo tests for COVID/Flu A/Flu B, but I get a very, very good deal on them.
Walgreens down here uses the Abbott Binax. Those are pretty decent and have a long shelf life. Don't know if they make a combo kit.
Do you know how much money I make from insurance replacements for military families that lose pianos to the errors of military moving companies that were the lowest builders?
Keep moving!
Oh, I could see a European Division in the NFL. London, Fankfurt(?), Barcelona and one other team. They'd play each other twice (8 games), then one of the East Divisons (4 games) alternating years perhaps, then 5 teams at random.
I had a friend who worked in pension planning and they said that kind of person does exist, and they actually try to persuade them that they do need to spend more, because 'better safe than sorry' can become a bit of an obsession.
Journalism, as far as I'm concerned about the label being accurately applied, has to do with the truth, novelty, and public interest of a piece of reported information. The motivations of the reporter are an afterthought.

They're a centrist court. Surprisingly, I've seen both Barret and Jackson write some surprising (for them) opinions.
For the most part, I think they want Congress to do their job, the Executive to reign it in a bit and for judges to follow the law. They haven't made any faction entirely happy.
That might be a good thing...
