@jon-nyc said in Where’s Biden?: He’s letting Trump campaign for him. Probably a good strategy. Agreed. I was just thinking how...weird it is. Such a different campaign compared to the past where folks would visit 3 states a day and lose their voice from speaking so often.

what picture? I don't see one, just a little blue square below the "With all due respect to the members here who own Audi's..." The little blue square has a question mark in it.

How about stats related to small brick and mortar business and how they have fared? I suspect those numbers would be striking.

@Jolly said in New George Floyd video: @Aqua-Letifer said in New George Floyd video: @Jolly said in New George Floyd video: Note the word riots in my post. They may have started out as protests, but they devolved into riots very quickly. George previously commented that he doesn't care how many of the protesters are demonstrating peacefully, because to him the rioting negates that. That's a fair position. Saying though that all of the peaceful protesters just disappeared and none of that exists anymore is completely untrue. If you believe that then you're only listening to your preferred echo chamber. Don't need an echo chamber, just a set of Mark I eyeballs...You're bending over backwards so far to be fair, you're letting the hogs stampede through the lot gate. No, I'm more or less siding with George at present. The peaceful protesters are still out there, and I think there are legitimate gripes, but the peaceful don't seem to be doing much to speak out against the woke racists and the rioters, which needs to happen. Otherwise, yeah. Being objective takes work. Extracting an accurate understanding from outrage porn confirmation bias on both sides takes work. That's what's required.

@Jolly said in Did Lockdown Work?: @taiwan_girl said in Did Lockdown Work?: @Jolly said in Did Lockdown Work?: @taiwan_girl said in Did Lockdown Work?: @Jolly said in Did Lockdown Work?: Now, as for COVID response...In California, one of the most liberal states in the union, 60% of people have told COVID tracers to piss up a rope. Americans, even for their own good, do not like to be told what to do. Exactly. Sometimes, the good of society has to come before the good of the individual. Personally, I have a lot of trouble understanding why people cannot understand that. I don't. But then, I'm one of those pesky Americans... And that is what makes the US so great, but can also be why sometimes that it fails. Absolutely. Now, there is a problem with the concept of duty in today's American society, but that, too, is a personal thing... I asked my grandfather, who was in his early 30's when WWII broke out, about the the nation unified as never before in the war effort. Like a lot of men in the depression he had bounced around taking work here and there as he was able. Once the war ramped up he had found work in an Aluminum plant in Southern California. He snorted derisively and said something derogatory about America that I didn't understand, other than knowing he felt there was plenty of selfishness still going on that he witnessed.

I wonder how share prices in the drug are doing after this somewhat premature ejaculation of information.
