@LuFins-Dad said in Georgia: There are plenty enough votes out there still to be counted to put Perdue over the 50% threshold. I mean, if he comes in at 50.01% then he is in, right? Correct.

@kluurs said in Don't be a sissy.: Similar things have been said in the US and elsewhere. YOU are all going to die. Me, on the other hand... Yep. Y'all can go ahead with that if you want but I'm not in.

I am OK with having a national ID card issued to every one. Heck, I am even OK with said national ID card having a field that indicates citizenship/immigration/visa status.

@Larry said in The economic record: This world is made up of leaders and followers. Two things identify followers...Followers will always nip at a leader's heels. Followers will never understand what makes a leader. If you want to use Margaret Thatcher as an example of great leadership, I'd say she was a prime example of somebody who got more and more extreme until eventually her own party kicked her out. In another country she'd have ended up in a military uniform, declaring herself President for Life. A poll tax, FFS. What kind of addled brain thought that was a good idea?

You've made him so multidimensional that he is IMO an honorary (if ghostlike) member of TNCR! I haven't seen him in nearly 9 months. We attempted virtual tea breaks, but it gets a bit forced so we haven't done anything for ages. Find him a couple of boxes of ammo and he'll love you for life. I've got a horrible feeling that he might make his own. As do a lot of us. I've probably got enough stuff laying around, to level your house.

@Jolly said in Why not a woman?: I thought Ax was gay. Or at least was like a garden gate and swung both ways. Did I miss something? Nah, don't think Ax is. His family's pretty cool even if Ax is cantankerous at times though.

Interesting. Considering the pickups for the GOP in the House, I think that there's a lot of unhappy Democrat representatives. The question is whether these unhappy folks are those in the (relative) center, or the AOC believers.

Go price an ACA plan. There are much cheaper adequate ones out there.

@Klaus said in So this happened: Earl L. "Buddy" Carter? Is it common to use nicknames in such formal letters? Would Al Capone sign his letters as 'Al "Scarface" Capone'? It's the South.
