Interesting article. Lots of things that are true there. An instant reaction to a problem is usually not the best choice.

It's interesting stuff, if you do some wet mounts and cultures.

@taiwan_girl said in Onward to the discovery phase!: Next he is going to be suing Time magazine for saying that he didnt win Man of the Year when he has proof with a framed (fake photoshop) copy of the magazine on his wall. (JOKING JOKING!!!!) One thing that has already come out, is the absolute incestuous relationship of media and the Pulitzer executive board. The same people deciding on what stories are worthy of voting on, are executives at the places of origin.

I want inner city kids, particularly minorities, to be inspired by American history. Sure we can point out some warts (we fought a great muther'in war over a few), but we are also a nation that's built on the premise that a young man can change his stars. The 1619 Project raises these children in a universe of victimhood from which they will never escape.

I will give him major kudos if he ends the carried interest loophole. I’d be more excited about that than the SALT change even though the later would net me thousands per year.

Louisiana is very close to moving into the 30-40 rank belt overall.

I actually think it’s less of a hassle for President Trump to attend the Super Bowl than it is for Candidate Trump to attend Sunday Night Football. The security at the SB is already incredibly tight.

Pope John XXIII was asked how many people worked for the Vatican. He responded, "about half."

That article references the 1890's. Back then, the technology was just around the corner.

@Doctor-Phibes said in Man down!: The more interesting question is why they seem so reluctant to retire. People love power? Some think they are doing good. Who knows. I'm going to retire as soon as humanly possible... hopefully the stock market will get artificially inflated by Trump and Vance for 12 years and then in 2035 I'll just switch it all to bonds before the Great Depressing Recession! MAGA more like MDGA!

I worked at AID for about a year in 1980 and remember little of it. At that time the big regime change took place in Iran. Did the Shah's fall influence the end of Mr. Carter's presidency? Without question. Did AID or the CIA plan Mr. Carter's fall? I doubt it, that affair didn't look like anyone planned anything.
