Wouldn't want to fly one out of LAX, but small, local airports? To fly to DFW, I catch an AE (Embraer jet), arriving 20 minutes before departure. TSA is a breeze and I gate-check my carry-on. Flight time is around 50 minutes. If I drove, it would be about 250 miles.

What did the customer do? Did they stay a customer? They laughed their asses off, thankfully. It's a bunch of engineers, so you're usually pretty safe with that kind of thing. That was my experience with engineers as well, they had a solid sense of off-the-wall humour when the occasion arose. Can't say the same about MBA's and accountants on any occasions;* although for some reason the engineers found them weirdly funny. *semi-colon

For what it's worth, some of us injuns are little pussified whiners just like some white people. The injuns with functioning brains don't have a problem with it.

If this is real, how do the heads come to be? "Hey, since you're gonna be dead soon, can you pose for your head urn now before it's, y'know, too late?" Or does the sculptor visit the morgue and pester the coroner: "Just a half hour; let me get a few sketches, 'k?"

@jolly said in 99.2% of recent Covid deaths are unvaccinated people: It is what it is. I don't think there are enough folks out there who have not had the disease or are not vaccinated, that they would swamp the system. I also think as time goes on, you'll see a higher vaccination rate, as people come to grips with the vaccine side-effects. Which is also okay and very similar to how people approach the flu vaccine. Which is also okay, since I think in the next 18-24 months we're going to have more variants than you can shake a stick at, and the initial vaccine may or may not be effective. I’ve given quite a bit of thought to freedom and liberty and in some respects the public health and financial crisis has passed so maybe the imperative is not there to force the issue and give people the opportunity to make an “informed decision”. I still think from a public health point of view it’s important we continue to be vigilant such that the only person accountable for A Covid hospitalization or death is the individual choosing not to take the vaccine.

A little piano related history… Some of the best accounts of the riots came from William Steinway, who was present when the riots began. He and his brother Charles singlehanded held off a group of rioters at the factory for several hours, then paid off the leader of the mob. Later, there brother Albert arrived as one of the commanders of the National Guard which was sent in to quell the riots. They housed the troops in the Steinway factory and William documented everything…

There was a shortage of truckers before COVID ever hit. It's much worse now.
