Still, I'd wish they'd follow with something more rigorous. And if I had my druthers...I'd like for somebody with the resources to wring some decent data out of VAERS.

@mik said in The case for shorting Uber: "The absurd proposition: Uber could use apps to reinvent taxis and turn a low-margin business into a high-margin business by sprinkling it with high-tech pixie dust. " Indeed. I prefer taxis or Dial 7 cars. Uber has a shot at operating an AI-driven fleet of taxis and make a significant dent on the cost of operating taxis (potentially far away in the future). This may not be sufficient to justify Uber's valuation, but it is a qualitative difference when compared to tradition taxi companies. No, I am not expressing any opinion on Uber's valuation here, just addressing the comparison between Uber and traditional taxi companies.

@george-k said in 'Cause every girl's crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man...: @jolly Actually, no. But nothing can beat that crazy wedding drummer for that song. I misunderstood the first time, I thought you were referring to the Nickleback drummer as a wedding drummer.. Which fits, by the way..... lol

Ax, you have got to be the dumbest man I've ever met. You actually believe that this makes Trump look bad, and what's even worse, you think China looks good because of it. When someone is stupid enough to believe that there's no point in explaining anything to them, just keep sharp objects away from them and don't let them have shoes with laces.

I never cared. It's always been a bunch of over-paid narcissists telling each other how great they are. It's like the endlessly tedious credits in a movie. Seriously, I don't give a fuck who the Producers' Best Boy is. I don't even care who the producer is. It should be between him and his family.

They could have been more creative and not only have words that end in "les". "ras", "arch", "des" etc. would be similarly suitable.

The tail meat is best. Be very meticulous in not allowing any gator fat on the meat to get into whatever you are cooking. Gator fat is mighty bitter. Also, gator doesn't have a lot of taste, so season accordingly. You can fry it (most common), make a sauce piquante with it or I've even seen sausage(it's mixed with pork). Here's one I haven't tried, but most of John's stuff is decent: http://www.jfolse.com/recipes/game/alligator01.htm

Jolly is correct. Don't overdo it as you begin to feel better. You will need to rest for longer than you expect. It's a slow process with this thing.

@lufins-dad said in Is it over?: @xenon said in Is it over?: After this wave... is there anything left to do? Yes, declare your side was right and hold the other side in derision. It would be good if you can find a way to punish them, too. LOL So true.

Yes, mainland china does not allow dual citizenship. From my understand, if you carry a mainland Chinese passport, you are not allowed to have any other. I think Germany may also be like that. @Kalus may know about that.

Not on the same scale, but people in my town who offer parking for Patriots games can get fined $100 per vehicle. Greedy twats.

Don't know if this means anything to you, -- it doesn't to me -- but Pewter Plank reports: "Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive back Ronde Barber has been snubbed by the Pro Football Hall of Fame this year. How it was announced was just cruel to the Buccaneers legend." https://thepewterplank.com/2022/02/10/buccaneers-ronde-barber-snubbed-hall-fame/?utm_campaign=FanSided+Daily&utm_source=FanSided+Daily&utm_medium=email
