That's my kind of dinner. Fresh walleye and salad? Yum.

I will have to look up Dorothy Lynch dressing.

It's almost like visiting Minnesoooooota. You can picture yourself in Grandma's kitchen, having dinner at the table with her. The walls have paneling with gold and yellow flowers. The recipe box is red and hand painted. On the wall next to the table is a painting of an old barn next to a country dirt road and tree. Grandma painted all these items, and she developed her own folksy style that was very sweet.

Exterior does not have to be kiln-dried lumber, so a pallet shingle wall would meet code. Wonder about the wood roof shingles?

If not, and you had access to pallets, I've seen some very pretty floors made out of pallet wood.

It’s hard to know what your specific claim is given your colorful metaphor.

You mean none of them could happen? There was only the character and patriotism of a few people that stopped it from happening in 2020. Both of which are being purged from the Trump party.

You mean they wouldn’t put an end to democracy in practice? Of course any of those examples would. You give me the power to decide which texas, PA, and FL country results are legit and I’ll deliver the President I want.

You mean like the Dems flipped the Rove counties?

    I don’t understand your reference.

I'm too lazy to look them up, but Rove has a short list of counties that are highly predictive of who wins the Presidential race. When he called it a night on the night of the election, Trump had won all but two of them. IIRC, it's the first time in the last half-century or so that has happened, where the winner of those counties was not elected President..

It's just another one of those things which just didn't quite pass the sniff test. There were several others.

Which is why, if the Dems had any sense, they would bally-hoo election reform more than the GOP, instead of trying to let illegals vote. Clouded elections are no good for anybody.

Maybe you’d wish that Sen. Warren might support legislation that standardize car keys/fobs now?

I wouldn't back that bitch in a Del Rio dog fight.

    Ride any lately?

IIRC, my last bicycle ride was in last December. The bike had no hand-operated breaks. Instead it had this weird mechanism where to peddle slightly backwards to stop the bike. 🤷‍♂️

Bro that's a back stop and it's on every kid's bike. Do you mean December 1967?

    "Scromiting."

You know, I just can't read the title of this thread without thinking of the Jim Carrey interview that @jon-nyc posted the other day.

This sort of real world example could be learned from. But alas, MMT experts are impervious to evidence, numbers, logic, and common sense.

    They do not learn.

I remember reading a story/video about pianists who play when singers come in to audition.

They give the pianist the song they want to sing, and expect the pianist to be able to do it right away. And they pretty much always do.

The interesting thing was that pianists who are able to do that are usually very very good at crossword puzzles.

My wife is very, very good at crossword puzzles.

Interesting how the brain works. There must be some relationship in thinking between gifted piano players and gifted crossword puzzle workers

Shoot, that's nothing. Thousands do that all over this country every day. Drunkenness is established when the upper extremity becomes too anesthetized to lift the bier can.

I saw what you did there. 😏

@taiwan_girl we’ve had great experiences with Airbnb too. Mrs Phibes does the research and without exception has found great places. Last month six of us stayed at one in Mund’s Park, Arizona and it was just wonderful.
